Meet Eyitayo Dada

Eyitayo Dada epitomizes excellence across a diverse spectrum of roles and achievements. Renowned as a lawyer, marriage coach and entrepreneur, her expertise spans mental health, real estate, family and immigration law. As an author she has shown her expertise in relationships, dating, marriage dynamics, and business acumen. A sought-after international speaker, Eyitayo’s insights resonate across cultures and backgrounds.

Professionally, Eyitayo is a distinguished Legal Practitioner admitted to both the Nigerian and Canadian Bars. For over fifteen years she practiced in Nigeria’s challenging Niger Delta region, she fervently championed women and environmental rights. Eyitayo is a Certified Specialist In Health Law and currently practices in the Toronto Area. Eyitayo is the Director of Amelie House and St. Francis Residence, shelters that offer refuge to individuals facing life’s challenges.

Eyitayo’s leadership extends to social justice and human rights activism and her advocacy has taken her to international forums, notably representing organizations at global platforms like the United Nations including the UN World Conference Against Racism, the Regional Conference On Racism Xenophobia And Related Intolerance In Brazil and the NAACP Civil Rights Institute.

Her academic credentials include an Honorary Ph.D. in Pastoral Counseling. Eyitayo’s influence transcends academia, recognized as one of the “100 Black Women to Watch in Canada” in 2016 and honored with the Professional Excellence award for her legal and community service contributions.

As the first female President of the Canadian Association of Nigerian Lawyers, Eyitayo continues to blaze trails. Beyond her professional sphere, she’s a devoted wife to Amos Dada, nurturing a flourishing family with children and grandchildren.

Eyitayo has represented several organizations at International conferences including the NAACP Civil Rights Institute; The United Nations World Conference Against Racism (Durban, South Africa) 2001.  Eyitayo Led a delegation to the UN headquarters in Geneva where she presented both written and oral submissions to the Fourth Session of the Working Group of Experts on People of African Descent. At the domestic level she participated in community consultations and preparatory Conferences for the world Conference against racism, she welcomed the UN Rapporteur for racism and participated in organizing and coordinating The African Canadian Community Coalition a coalition that comprised of over 54 main African Canadian organizations agencies and individuals, led a delegation to The Windsor black Community Forum and headed T representatives meetings with the Attorney General of Ontario, the Hon. Minister of Community Safety and Corrections, The Hon. Minister of Children and Youth Services, and The Chief of Police. Eyitayo Dada chaired The African Canadian Community round table with the Prime minister of Canada the Honorable Paul Martin.

Eyitayo has participated in numerous media events to discuss among other things racial profiling in policing education, housing, employment, private security, health and business, gun violence and hate crimes and its impact on the African Canadian Community.
